Music 101 Recordings makes its debut on the global House scene with this release from one of the innovators of the form, Vince Lawrence's North Avenue. An astute songwriter, producer, recording engineer, and DJ, Vince Lawrence is credited with exposing the world to some of House music's pioneers. He reemerges into the underground with a platter of melodic consciousness that's been missing from club speakers as of late. On Side A, Vince blesses us with "Solutions", a beautiful yet thumpin' piece sung by Mikhiell. Complete with lush strings, a funky bassline, and smoldering spoken vocals weaved throughout the song, it's a must-have for those fans of truly deep House. Side B offers a dub mix of "Solutions," plus an added bonus of downtempo House goodness with "Someday." Also graced with the seductive stylings of Mikhiell, this song's richness is attained with timely piano riffs and smooth keyboard and vibe stabs. Its message of hope is a perfect complement to the real world songwriting and spiritual orientation of its flipside.

This is a record that you must own. The Title cut Solutions is a soothing work of comfortable and thoughtful house.
