Music-101, reaching into the Parisian movement, has captured the talents of one of the most gifted collective units in the recent annals of House Music. "The Chase" is a definitive point along the trajectory of outstanding recordings Playin' 4 The City have produced. The title suggests that there is more in the distance from this ensemble to be desired. But the sonic stylings on "The Chase" and its' B-Side "Caught Up" are without question some of their finest to date.

"The Chase" opens with an up-tempo amalgamation of soul-infused vocals and spaced-out samplings. Un unrelenting disco and deep house combo, the pairing of such styles flawlessly create the unique sound Playin' 4 The City has brandished. Suggesting to 'show some emotion' in his lyrics, vocalist Karl croons the listener with an ethereal and inviting range of tones. Heavy on percussion the beat refuses to let up all the while maintaining an alluring groove.

B-Side "Caught Up" mends up the tempo with a well-defined four-count kick beat. Segmented, yet seamlessly connected, the 'downside' is the perfect selection to bring the floor up. More beat-oriented than its' A-Side predecessor, "Caught Up" leaves plenty of room for DJs to cut up with another track.

Number seven in the swell of tremendous releases to date, "The Chase" only expedites Music-101's path to success, through showcasing the globe's finest talent.
